endota spas offer down to earth touches
10/21/2009
Brisbane has waited a long time for an endota spa – and now we have two, one in inner city Fortitude Valley and the other at Rosalie in the city’s west.
endota spa is a welcome addition to Brisbane’s day spa scene, offering casual down to earth service, reasonably priced treatments and a great new range of all-Australian organic skincare products.
With its five treatment rooms (one a double with Geisha tub), pure white walls and calm green tones, endota spa in Fortitude Valley (housed in the Centro Precinct along James Street), is a quiet oasis amidst the bustling, vibrant Valley with its high-end shops, stylish restaurants and hip and happening bars.
I was lucky enough to enjoy endota spa’s opening special – a one hour facial (for $95) with a free half hour massage and billabong foot soak. The whole experience – delightful! From being warmly welcomed by my therapist Chloe, to the soft lighting in the treatments rooms, and a truly relaxing and therapeutic facial and massage, everything was perfect with a lovely casual and down to earth approach.
Wrapped in a cosy thick chocolate brown robe, my endota experience started with a billabong foot soak with a lemon myrtle & native mint exfoliation and massage. Your feet really do ache for it. Then moving to the massage table I had a lovely half hour back massage using warm endota blend oils. The medium pressure massage I requested was delivered perfectly – just the way I like it.
Moving onto the facial, Chloe enquired about my skin type and carefully examined it recommending a range of dermalogica products for my treatment. She was clearly knowledgeable about various skin types and the most suitable products to use. My sensitive skin loved the light exfoliation and the masks Chloe chose, and finishing off with gorgeous moisturisers and oils, I left with skin perfectly soft and supple, with no redness - exactly what I had asked for.
Chloe showed me a range of dermalogica products suitable for my skin type (with no hard sell). Out of cleanser I opted for the dermalogica ultracalming cleanser for face and eyes (500ml at a great price of $87) which I am extremely happy with. Chloe even followed up two weeks after my treatment to check how the cleanser was going – great follow-up service.
The endota spa group is a wonderful success story offering more than 40 spas across Australia at wineries, resorts, city centres, shopping precincts, tropical islands, regional centres, beaches and even golf courses. Over the last couple of years the group has become Australia’s largest day spa network founded on casual, down to earth service providing all-Australian organic body treatments, facials and massage, using premium skincare products, including the new endota organic spa range.
