Massage
Massage is the systematic manipulation of the soft tissues
of the body to promote circulation and blood flow and bring about healing
effects (physical and psychological) for general wellbeing. There are over
eighty different massage modalities.
Medical Esthetician
A skin care specialist who works with a physician in a medical setting, usually before and after cosmetic surgery.
Medical spa (also known as medi-spa)
A spa that includes medical therapeutic treatments along with traditional spa treatments. A doctor or other qualified health professional supervises or performs all medical treatments.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a method of
"vacuum cleaning" and polishing the skin using a combination of
suction and abrasion. Dead cells are buffed off the surface of the skin
and suction removes clogging from the pores and stimulates the circulation. Some
microdermabrasion machines use crystals to bombard the surface of the skin
whereas others use a rough surface with small diamond chips embedded in the
handpiece surface.
Milk bath
A bath with the addition of milk and often other scents such as lavender,
honey and essential oils designed to help remove dead skin cells.
Mineral springs spa
A spa with natural mineral springs that guests can soak in for therapeutic
benefits with naturally occurring minerals known to be beneficial for
arthritis, joint pain and other ailments.
Moor peat baths
Nurtient-rich bath consisting of organic materials designed to relieve stiffness and pain.
